There was “The Return,” late in 2020, where Christian and conservative leaders rallied for repentance and the cause of the Bible in America.
They put politics, economics and other issues aside for a day-long event that featured famed rabbi Jonathan Cahn delivering a prophetic message of prayer and repentance.
He pointed out how the words of the Old Testament prophets highlighted what were described as the “grievous sins of our nation,” including abortion.
He warned, just like the people of ancient Israel drove God out and turned away from Him, “We too have turned away from the God of our foundation, have estranged ourselves from Him. We drove God out of our hearts, out of our government, out of our ways … out of our lives. And as we drove Him out, we opened up a vacuum into which came a flood of other gods: prosperity, comfort, sexual immorality and obsession. We too have become our own god.”
Calling for repentance, he said, “The hour is late, and the moment is critical.”
Now a coming event, to be held on Jan. 8, is called The Renewal.
Tickets are available online as is an application for the streaming service.
The star power of those scheduled to be in attendance is significant, and includes Sidney Powell, Guy Penrod, Jonathan Cahn, The Isaacs, Michele Bachmann, Mike Lindell, The Jessips, Louie Gohmert, Ben Carson, Bill Federer, Frank Gaffney, David Barton, Allan Parker, and many, many more.
The event will be held in Plant City, Fla., in Strawberry Festival Amphitheater, just outside of Tampa.
“This will be a faith-focused day of heritage, history, praise, worship, and prayer dedicated to the American renewal of the covenant the Pilgrims made with God four centuries ago,” organizers explain online.
It’s to be broadcast on networks, too.
“Throughout history, only two nations have been tied together by covenants with God,” they explain.
“God made a covenant with Israel, but America made a covenant with God,” explained Rev. Kevin Jessip, founder and president of the Global Strategic Alliance and co-founder of The Return. “America has broken the covenant made by our forefathers. As we know, from the Bible, God takes covenants very seriously. This has brought our once blessed nation under the judgments of God.”
The leaders uniting at the event are those “who believe America is in a spiritual battle for the soul of our nation. Therefore, it must be won in the spiritual realm lead by God according to His Word. We must pray, then take a step of bold faith to re-establish America’s covenant with God and plead for His mercy as we seek to restore our foundational values based on God’s Word, the everlasting covenant, the Bible.”
“We cannot solve spiritual problems by natural means such as military might, elected officials or even human governments,” Jessip said. “God is sovereign over all as stated in Daniel 2:21, ‘He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.'”
The five-step process the event will outline includes repentance, reconciliation, restoration, revival and reformation.
Some 250,000 attended The Return in 2020, and another 42 million watched on television or online.
Based on the biblical template, The Renewal is the next step after The Return.”
“The Renewal is about restoring our covenant with God,” Jessip said. “It started with The Return with repentance, now we’re going through reconciliation and restoration, which is renewing the covenant we broke with Almighty God. In The Renewal, we are saying, ‘Lord, have mercy on us in the midst of the redemptive judgments happening.’ The fires, plagues, floods, and everything we are seeing are no different than the redemptive judgments ancient Egypt experienced. The Renewal is a reconciliation and restoration of the covenant, which is part of returning to God. It is the next step. I believe after this renewal step that the revival is coming.”
The Renewal is co-hosted by Defending the Republic and the Global Strategic Alliance.
Jessip asked, “Is there a time when the ‘cup of iniquity’ gets so full that America comes to an end? Romans 11 explains the fullness concept and the Apostle Paul uses the metaphor of two olives trees, one natural, representing Israel, and one wild, representing the Gentiles.”
The biblical template suggests America will face judgment when God’s sovereign purpose for the nation has been completed, inhabitants land reject the Bible, people no longer repent and harden their hearts to the truth and abominations become legal and acceptable to the majority of the people.
“When these four actions unite at the same time, the fullness of time will have arrived,” Jessip warned.
