Years ago on the Glenn Beck radio show, when Obama was president and Biden vice president, I quipped in response to our wayward federal government, “Texas may secede from the union, and I may run for president of Texas.”
That need may be a reality sooner than we think. If not me, someone someday may again be running for president of the Lone Star State, if the state of the union continues to turn into the enemy of the state.
Speaking of Glenn Beck, I was reading through his exceptional and insightful new book, “The Great Reset: Joe Biden and the Rise of 21-Century Fascism.” You will love it!
Simply put, fascism is “a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.”
Historically, “fascism is a political ideology and mass movement that dominated many parts of central, southern, and eastern Europe between 1919 and 1945 and that also had adherents in western Europe, the United States, South African, Japan, Latin America and the Middle East,” according to Britannica Encyclopedia.
But fascism has made a big comeback. It is morphing and metastasizing even in the U.S. like aggressive cancer in a human body. The overreaching and all-controlling Biden administration and globalist radical agenda can be easily seen even in the truth-telling music video, “God Help Us All,” by the musical group Five Times August.
In other words, the Biden administration and other globalist powers are using fascist ideologies, strategies and conduct to control Americans and suppress opponents and critics. There’s a war on Washington outsiders. There’s a war on the police. There’s a war on law and order. There’s a war on our borders. There’s a war on our financial institutions. There’s a war on (cancel) culture. There’s a war on our workplaces. There’s war on our schools. There’s a war on our people. There’s a war on the family. There’s a war on parents. There’s a war on our republic!
As it says on Glenn Beck’s website about his new book: “The Great Reset is not a work of fiction. It is a highly influential movement among the world’s elite to ‘reset’ the global economy using banks, government programs, and environmental, social, and governance metrics. If they are successful and the Great Reset is finalized, it would put substantially more economic and social power in the hands of large corporations, international institutions, banks, and government officials, including Joe Biden, the United Nations, and many of the members of the World Economic Forum.”
At the same time the feds and globalists are increasing their power, they are stripping it from “We, the People,” to whom it was granted in the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
From the East Coast to the “left coast,” America seems to be moving further and further from its founders’ vision and government with hyper-lightspeed.
George Washington advised, “The great rule of conduct in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations [and] having with them as little political connection as possible.” Yet, the Biden administration this past year significantly increased funding for foreign aid, diplomacy and climate change while increasing defense spending only a miniscule 1.7%.
Thomas Jefferson counseled us, “We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.” Yet the feds have just skyrocketed our national deficit and debt again to nearly $30 trillion dollars, and they plan much more fiscal expansion with little resistance. Despite that George Washington admonished, “To contract new debts is not the way to pay for old ones,” we keep borrowing and bailing out, while we watch the financial markets plunge further into instability every time we do.
Patrick Henry taught that, “Our Constitution is … an instrument for its people to restrain the government.” Yet, the White House and much of Congress stampede that founding document, overlook its tenets and statutes, and manipulate its words to abandon a balance of power and accommodate their own desires, partisan politics and runaway spending.
John Adams declared, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.” Yet, we’ve bastardized the First Amendment, reinterpreted America’s founding history and secularized our society until we neuter and circumvent religion on every level of public and private life.
How much more will Americans take? When will enough be enough? And, when that time comes, will our leaders finally listen, or will history need to record a Second American Revolution?
We, the People, have the authority according to the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. In fact, the latter states:
“That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience has shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
God, help America. Oh God, help us all, before our republic dissolves in a fascist sea like Alka Seltzer in a glass of water.
