The list of America’s problems linked to Joe Biden is long: Gasoline prices nearing $5 a gallon, inflation at a scary high level, a southern border crisis, an agenda to turn schools into transgender indoctrination centers, a plunging economy, all just the start of many a migraine these days.

Now the nation’s response is appearing: A poll showing his approval numbers have plunged to only 39%, down from 63% a year ago.

The Daily Mail bluntly explained this was happening “as hopelessness abounds with his own party ahead of November’s midterm elections.”

The results are from the AP-NORC Center for Public Research poll, “but even more noteworthy is that only 33% of Democrats say the country is headed in the right direction.”

That was down 16 points from just last month.

And while his own party’s approval never dropped below 82% during 2021, when he was developing many of the problems the nation now faces, it’s now down to 73%.

It shows half of America blames Biden for the worsening economy, and only 18% believe he’s helped it. Among Democrats, a little over one-third of respondents said Biden had helped the nation’s economic situation.

At the same time, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed the nation’s status was the work of a “great president.”

“The work that this president has done and he’s been a great president, I don’t know about polls but I do know about winning the races one district at a time,” she claimed.

Americans might not agree, the Daily Mail reported. “Only 2 in 10 Americans say the U.S. is headed in the right direction and 2 in 10 say the economy is good, both down from 3 in 10 one month ago. Republicans soured on Biden long ago, and 1 in 10 currently approve of his handling of the economy, no different from last month.”

Milan Ramsey, a 29-year-old high school counselor, and a Democrat, told the AP, “‘I don’t know how much worse it can get.”

She delivered the consensus of many, saying, “He hasn’t delivered on any of the promises.”

And she excused him, for a reason that’s not at all to be desired, “I think he’s tired – and I don’t blame him. I’d be tired too at his age with the career he’s had.”

The polling of 1,172 adults was conducted from May 12-18, and the margin of error is plus or minus 4.0 percent.

The report further explained that Biden’s approval among Hispanics now has fallen of a cliff – to only 26%.

A commentary at Twitchy said it bluntly: “It’s getting harder and harder to find anyone who thinks Joe Biden doesn’t suck.”
