Former White House doctor: Obama slammed me for concerns about Biden

The Navy admiral who served as physician for three presidents in the White House, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump, has revealed that Obama wrote him a page-long email lashing out angrily for pointing out what commentators by the dozens and Americans by the millions already saw for themselves.

That would be Joe Biden’s cognitive decline as the 78-year-old has advanced in years.

Paul Bedard in a column at the Washington Examiner noted that Ronny Jackson, now a congressman from Texas after his retirement from the Navy, appeared with Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., on Banks’ podcast.

The comments about Obama come about 40 minutes into the interview.

Jackson explained that during his campaign – before he took office earlier this year – he had commented on social media about presidents needing to take a cognitive test.

He had, after all, administered just exactly that to President Trump while he was in office, and the president scored a perfect 30 out of 30.

But only 20 minutes after his comment about such tests, regarding the Democrat candidate, Obama wrote him and “just tore me up.”

“An entire page about how disappointed he was in me and how it’s beneath me as a physician and beneath me as an officer in the military to be attacking Joe Biden like this. And it was a betrayal of the trust that he and his administration put in me and he was so disappointed in me and yada, yada,” said Jackson.

“It was unbelievable,” Jackson added.

He said he wasn’t diagnosing Biden, but he could see what is happening as well as other Americans, who have been embarrassed repeatedly on behalf of Biden, who has lost his train of thought, wandered aimlessly out onto the lawn of the White House, forgotten where he was, forgotten the names of his appointees, mixed words and flubbed lines.

In some cases he’s simply trailed off without finishing a sentence or the thought.

There’s even been a book published documenting his long history of flubs and gaffes.

Jackson noted, “This guy doesn’t know where he’s at, he doesn’t know what he’s doing, he didn’t even know what office he was running for. It’s very obvious to everyone in the country right now that this guy’s got some cognitive issues.”

He said its obvious Biden has “age-related cognitive decline.”

“He’s not mentally fit right now. He’s 78 years old and you can see it. You don’t need to be a physician to look at him and look at his behavior and some of the other stuff, and just the way he shuffles, he stares off into space.”

He said the window for Biden to be America’s commander-in-chief “closed a while back. He’s not fit for that.”

He explained Obama’s reaction to his gentle criticism was to attack.

Jackson said, “I know what that job entails, both physically and mentally, and how demanding it is. And I can tell you right now, I’m 100% sure that Joe Biden is incapable of doing that job,” he said.

Jackson previously has expressed doubt about Biden’s mental cognition.

In fact, just weeks ago he said Biden probably doesn’t need a test anymore.

“I think he’s proven to the entire country right now that he has issues and these issues are impacting our safety and our national security,” Jackson said in an interview with Just the News.

He said, at this point, such a test would only “confirm what everybody in this country already knows is that he doesn’t have the competency and the cognitive ability to be our commander-in-chief.”

At the time, he said Biden is making American look “horrible now on the world stage.”

“Biden, once again, has failed us. He’s embarrassed as internationally. And you know, honestly, it is time for him to leave. I’ve been saying this for a long time. I’ve been saying that he’s not, he’s not cognitively prepared to be our president. And this is just another example of his failure. And I think a lot of this is relevant to his cognitive ability. But he’s, he’s created a national security disaster for this country right now. And it’s time for him to move on and somebody else needs to do this job. He is not fit to be our commander in chief. It’s time for him to resign.”

Biden’s verbal stumbles and blunders long have been viewed as simple “gaffes.” For example, he once told a disabled supporter to “stand up” so the crowd could see him. And he said the only defense that is needed is a double-barreled shotgun, with which people could fire two warning shots. The problem with that is that firing two shots means the gun is unloaded and the person holding it defenseless.

In the Oval Office, however, the blunders have increasingly become situations where he simply stumbles over words, fails to complete sentences and even interrupts himself to change direction mid-statement.

After he unleashed a car crash interview about Afghanistan, his schedulers canceled all events at which he could face questions.

In that interview he dismissed as old news the horrific images of people falling from airplanes in flight as something that happened “four or five days” ago – when it actually was two.

See an excerpt of the ABC interview:

Biden insisted “there was no consensus” about a Taliban takeover.

“If you go back and look at the intelligence reports, they said that it’s more likely to be sometime by the end of the year. The idea that the Tal — and then it goes further on, even as late as August. I think you’re gonna see — the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and others speaking about this later today,” he said.

When George Stephanopoulos noted that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said such a disaster was predicted, Biden’s response was, “What – what did he say was predicted?”

So what failed, Mr. President? Stephanopoulos asked.

“Look, I don’t think it was a fa — look, it was a simple choice, George. When the — when the Taliban — let me back — put it another way. When you had the government of Afghanistan, the leader of that government get in a plane and taking off and going to another country, when you saw the significant collapse of the ta– of the– Afghan troops we had trained — up to 300,000 of them just leaving their equipment and taking off, that was — you know, I’m not– this — that — that’s what happened.”

Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, a gastroenterologist, also noted that it’s time for there to be a way to test the abilities of America’s leaders. Besides Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is 81, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell 79.

Cassidy stated it is a medical fact that the 80s are accompanied by a “rapid decline.” He did not name names.

“It’s usually noticeable. So anybody in a position of responsibility who may potentially be on that slope, that is of concern. And I’m saying this as a doctor,” he said.

“I’m told that there have been senators in the past who, at the end of their Senate terms were senile,” Cassidy continued. “I’m told that was true of senators of both parties.”
