McConnell, most 'unpopular' in poll, lashed out at Trump after Jan. 6, book says

U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., now the Senate minority leader and in line to be the Senate majority leader should Republicans break a 50-50 tie and regain the majority this fall, is the most “unpopular” in the Senate, a poll charges.

And, according to a new book, he was lashing out at President Trump following the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol, rather than expressing concern for the public, for police, or for rioters.

It is Just the News that documented the results of the new Morning Consult poll.

That revealed only one in three residents of Kentucky, 33%, approve of McConnell’s job performance. A full 60% trashed his work.

The report said the most popular U.S. senator is South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune, who has a 62% approval rating with a 28% disapproval rating.

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., had the biggest increase in approval, surging from a 40% approval rating in the first quarter of 2021 to 57% during that time this year, a number that included 69% of Republicans.

But, a new report at The Gateway Pundit describes how McConnell was at odds with President Trump repeatedly, and how he was “exhilarated” when the riot happened and he considered Trump had “finally tarnished his reputation.”

The claims to that effect come from a new book, ‘This Will Not Pass,” by Jonathan Martin.

That documents that “McConnell wasn’t concerned about the well-being of Trump supporters. McConnell wasn’t concerned about the well-being of the Capitol police. McConnell wasn’t concerned about the well-being of President Trump or his family.

McConnell wasn’t questioning who was behind the riots at the Capitol – he was apparently sure or was sharing that he was sure that President Trump was behind the riots. McConnell didn’t question why [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi prevented the military from being stationed at the Capitol after President Trump requested that they be sent there days before his speech,” according to The Gateway Pundit.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

The Gateway Pundit charged that McConnell “to this day isn’t concerned about the men locked up in the DC Gulag for over a year for constitutionally protesting a stolen election.”

Citing the book, the report said, “In the hours after supporters of Donald Trump laid siege to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, House Republican Leader Mitch McConnell reportedly said he was ‘exhilarated’ that the then-president had finally tarnished his reputation.”

McConnell, in fact, told Martin, “I feel exhilarated by the fact that this fellow finally, totally discredited himself.”

Book excerpts were posted online by the Washington Post.

McConnell reportedly said, “He put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. Couldn’t have happened at a better time.”

He also, according to the reporting on the book, wondered openly whether the vice president and the Cabinet were thinking about removing Trump from office.

In fact, Pelosi launched her second failed impeach-and-remove attempt against Trump at the time, putting herself in the awkward position of seeking the removal of Trump from office, who already had finished his term in office and no longer was “in office.”

But The Gateway Pundit cited the reporting in the book and said McConnell also talked with Pelosi and then-Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer about a joint statement telling Trump not to attend Joe Biden’s inauguration.

The Pundit charged, “McConnell and the Deep State and corrupt politicians and actors in the government were in on it. McConnell was working with Pelosi and Schumer and not the president of the United States or the people of the United States that gave President Trump the largest number of legitimate votes in U.S. history.”

Peter Schweitzer’s latest book, “Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win,” charges that McConnell and his wife, Elaine Chao, former transportation secretary, “enjoy some of the deepest and most abiding ties to Beijing-linked entities of anyone in Washington, D.C.”

A long list of questions have, in fact, been raised about the 2020 election.

What is known is that a number of issues remain under investigation. A coming documentary reveals hundreds of “mules” were hired to dump piles of mail-in ballots in drop boxes during election night’s overnight hours.

Also, independent analyses have concluded either of two ways likely “bought” the election for Biden. One was the $420 million Mark Zuckerberg gave to mostly leftist election officials with instructions to recruit voters from Democrat districts, and the other was the collusion by legacy and social media companies that decided to suppress accurate, and damaging, reports about the Biden family international business scandals just before the election.

Further, multiple state and local officials simply ignored their own state laws regarding the handling of mail-in ballots.

Meanwhile, Just the News has compiled a list of 20 situations that suggest fraud or irregularities in the 2020 election.

They include that Iranian nationals hacked into a state computer election system and stole 100,000 voter registrations and used them to try to intimidate Republicans, a former state Supreme Court justice concluded there was bribery in Wisconsin’s election count, there was illegal ballot harvesting in several states, vote signature requirements may have been violated involving 200,000 ballots in Arizona, the widely used ballot drop boxes were, in fact, illegal, foreign voters were found on voter rolls in Texas and Georgia, a number of mail-in ballot strategies were unconstitutional, voter roll laws were not followed and more.

IMPORTANT NOTE: While Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi’s “House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack” daily accuse law-abiding, patriotic, conservative Americans of being “domestic terrorists,” “violent extremists” and “insurrectionists,” a REAL INSURRECTION – indeed, a full-scale MARXIST “RESET” of the greatest nation on earth – is well underway in the United States of America, led by them. Remember the rule: Whatever today’s Democrats are falsely accusing their critics of doing and planning, that is precisely what they themselves are ACTUALLY doing and planning. The reality of all this is stunningly documented and explored in the January 2022 issue of WND’s acclaimed Whistleblower magazine, titled “THE REAL INSURRECTION: Branding normal Americans as ‘terrorists,’ Democrats pursue total revolution.”
