A large majority of Americans – nearly 60% — say Joe Biden’s recent primetime speech in which he angrily lashed out at Republicans and conservatives, claiming they are “an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” was “designed to incite conflict.”

“These numbers reveal that most voters were sickened and deeply disturbed by what they saw last week. When you couple this finding with previous polling we did indicating a majority of voters also hold President Biden responsible for America’s divisions – it’s clear that the man who promised to unite the nation has become the most divisive President in American history,” said Mark Meckler, president of the Convention of States, which did the poll in conjunction with The Trafalgar Group.

The poll was done September 2-5 and surveyed more than 1,000 likely 2022 election voters.

“When voters tell you they think that the prepared remarks of a sitting president of the United States is a dangerous escalation and was designed to incite conflict, we are living in terrifying times. Perhaps even more terrifying is the fact that a huge majority of Democrats think this was just a routine, election year stump speech,” Meckler said.

“This is the tyranny the founders of America foresaw, and it’s why they included an emergency provision in Article V that empowers the states to reign in an out-of-control federal government. A Convention of States needs to happen and urgently.”

The poll revealed 56.8% of voters “believe President Biden’s recent primetime address to the nation in which he accused his political opponents of representing ‘an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic’ represents a dangerous escalation in rhetoric and is designed to incite conflict amongst Americans.”

Only 35.5% of Americans said Biden’s incendiary claims were “acceptable campaign messaging.”

Key to the results was that 62.4% of independent voters disliked Biden’s rhetoric, joining 89.1% of Republicans. Even 18.7% of Democrats “believe President Biden’s recent primetime address to the nation in which he accused his political opponents of representing ‘an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic’ represents a dangerous escalation in rhetoric and is designed to incite conflict amongst Americans.”

Many Democrats, in fact, approved of the speech.

WND previously reported that Franklin Graham, the chief of the worldwide Christian ministry Samaritan’s Purse, charged that Biden’s speech to the nation actually was an attack on “freedom-loving Americans.”

Biden, in his partisan speech, lashed out angrily at Republicans who he claimed are trying to undermine democracy.

“Tonight President Biden said that MAGA threatens the very foundation of our republic. Really? I want to see America great again. I want to see America as a leader, as a place for people who desire liberty and justice for all. I don’t want to see this country turned into a socialist country. I don’t want to see it fail,” Graham wrote on social media.

“Does believing in freedom, justice, opportunity, less taxes, and smaller government make me an extremist? Absolutely not. The ones who are extremists are the ones who want to take that away from us! Ronald Reagan campaigned to Make America Great Again. Does that make him an extremist?

“President Biden is trying to vilify and demean conservative, freedom-loving Americans who do not support the failing and economically unsound policies of his administration. This is just further dividing our nation. Ultimately, America can only have true greatness through God. The blessings of this nation have come from the hand of God. We need to turn to Him. We need His help, His direction, and His healing,” Graham wrote

The Daily Mail documented that popular Fox commentator Tucker Carlson called the speech, in Pennsylvania, as a “turning point in American history.”

Tucker monologued,: “‘The threat is not coming from barefoot religious extremists in caves. It’s not the Chinese government. It’s not Vladimir Putin himself. The most evil man in history. No, this threat is worse and home grown. The single gravest threat to America today is Republican voters. All 75 million of them. They are Nazis and destroyers of democracy.’ That’s the message of Joe Biden’s speech.'”

Carlson continued, “What Joe Biden is saying right now is the official position of the entire executive branch of the U.S. Government. That include the justice department and Intel agencies and the world’s most powerful standing military. Think about that. Does it make you nervous?”

He warned, “You don’t have to be a Trump voter to see a speech like this as a turning point in American history. For hundreds of years the U.S. has had a political system comprised of two competing parties. If you declare one party criminal, what would you be left with? You would be left with a one party state. That’s what Joe Biden is calling for tonight. A one party state. It’s shocking,” he said.

The Daily Mail also characterized Biden speech as “doubling down “on MAGA hate,” but pointed out networks “largely ignore[d]” the event with only CNN and MSNBC airing it live.

U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said on social media that the speech was “ironic.”

“It’s ironic that @JoeBiden calls MAGA the fascist. History teachers us it’s the failing dictators in demise who raid the homes of their political opponents and explicitly divide the citizenry based on race.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., responded, “With all due respect Mr. President, there’s nothing wrong with America’s soul.” He pointed out Biden’s damage to the country: “Rampant inflation. Out of control crime. Terrorism on the rise. Broken borders. Stop lecturing & change your policies before it’s too late.”

Political strategist Ronna McDaniel, chair of the Republican National Committee summed the speech up in five words: “Angry. Divisive. Political. Stubborn. Failure.”

IMPORTANT NOTE: How is it possible that the greatest and freest nation in world history has so rapidly come under the control of serially lying, deranged, power-mad sociopaths – leaders with nothing but contempt for America, for its history, its Constitution, its Judeo-Christian culture and its people? Orwell’s “1984” points directly to the answer: The elites are changing America’s language itself, so that people’s words – and therefore, their very thoughts – inevitably come under the control of the ruling class. It’s a way of bending reality in real time, so that what is illusion appears to be true, while what is real and true appears to be lies, misinformation, “hate speech,” “conspiracy theories” and “extremism.” This extraordinarily powerful but little-understood weapon of war employed 24/7 by the Marxist left is completely explained, exposed and exploded in the August issue of WND’s acclaimed monthly Whistleblower agazine, NEWSPEAK 2022: How tyrants and lunatics are enslaving Americans by redefining everything.
