Woman triggers terror attack on Israel, now wants compensation for injuries

A woman who carried out a horrific terror attack on Israel in 2015 – and suffered injuries during the attack – now wants Israel to pay for surgery to repair the damage.

Islam expert Robert Spencer reports at JihadWatch that the request – so far – has been denied.

The report said the terrorist was given 11 years in prison after she triggered the explosion of a gas balloon near a checkpoint outside of Maaleh Adumim.

A police officer at the scene suffered injuries, and the terrorist herself suffered burns on her nose.

Now she wants cosmetic surgery to correct the damage.

The report said the Haifa district court just last week rejected the demand.

“Over the years, the terrorist has received medical treatment from the Israel Prisons Service, and she recently requested to undergo a nose reconstruction surgery. The Prisons Service rejected her demand to receive funding for the surgery, since it is not an operation which is necessary for her to function….” the report explained.

At Israel National News a report said the request was rejected because the treatment is not medically needed.

In court, the woman, whose name was not released, charged that the Prison Service must provide her with the treatment she wants without questioning whether it is necessary or not.
