Joe Biden’s Treasury secretary, Janet Yellen, admits she blew it.

The former Federal Research chief admitted this week she was “wrong” about the path inflation would take when, months ago, she claimed that she didn’t think it would be a long-term problem and that it was “manageable.”

In fact, according to a report in Business Insider, she confessed, “There have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices, and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly, that at the time I didn’t fully understand, but we recognize now.”

Those price surges, like gasoline which is approaching $6 a gallon in some states, are hitting all Americans, but especially the lower and middle income families who spend a larger percentage of their income on fuel and food, where prices also have exploded under Biden’s economic policies.

But consumers, according to a new polling, at least know who to blame:

Joe Biden.

Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group, documented as being one of America’s most accurate pollsters in recent years, confirmed that in a poll conducted May 25-29 of more than 1,000 likely 2022 voters.

“President Lincoln reminded Americans that you can’t fool all of the people all of the time, and that is certainly reflected in these numbers. Despite being told every day that Putin is responsible for virtually anything they’re not happy with – from inflation to baby formula to gas prices – –a sizable majority of voters clearly believe it is President Biden and the Democrats, and not Moscow, who are responsible,” explained Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action.

“The failure of Biden’s administration to take simple, common-sense steps to bring Americans relief is both cruel and indefensible. No doubt, the people’s anger at Democrat policies will be reflected at the polls in November.”

The polling revealed that 59.9% of American voters “believe that President Biden’s policies and spending are the leading contributor to rising inflation.”

Only a minority of 31.6% say it is Russia’s war with Ukraine, and 8.5% are not sure.

The poll showed 61.1% of independent voters blame Biden for inflation, along with 87.9% of Republicans.

Even a large number of Democrats, one in three of the party’s respondents, “believe that President Biden’s policies and spending are the leading contributor to rising inflation in the United States.

Among independents, only 27.1% blame Putin, and among GOP members, only 9.7% blame Putin. And 55.2% of Democrats blame him.
