The chief of the nation’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement has revealed to Congress that the agency recently found and addressed the “largest gift card” scam ever.
The money involved wasn’t publicly disclosed, but ICE Director Todd Lyons confirmed during a congressional hearing that the money was being stolen by military-age males who entered the United States under the Joe Biden administration and they were sending the money back to directly fund China’s military.
Reporter Nike Sortor explained, “Director Todd Lyons just revealed ICE recently busted the largest gift card fraud scheme EVER — and that stolen money was being sent DIRECTLY BACK to military units in CHINA.
“It was being carried out by illegal Chinese men who were let in under BIDEN All military aged, of course. The scam is fairly simple: these Chinese fraudsters steal barcodes off gift cards from retail stores, place them back on the shelf, and when a shopper buys it, that money is IMMEDIATELY skimmed by CCP operatives who have the numbers in a database. And the American consumer is left with a worthless piece of plastic, unbeknownst to them.”:

Lyons confirmed the Chinese Communist Party remains a “huge threat.”
That group, and “their transnational criminal organizations that have come over here to wreak havoc,” he said.
He confirmed Americans essentially were being scammed to fund the military of the nation’s enemy.
While the dollars involved in this were not detailed, analysts have estimated that Americans lose billions of dollars to a variety of gift card scams.
Sortor commented, “The amount of damage Biden did top this country in just four years is profound.”
Another social media commenter said, “How is this not treason.”
