America’s best days are behind it, and it’s Joe Biden’s fault.
That’s the perspective of many in America, only a few years since voter optimism peaked under President Donald Trump.
A new Rasmussen Reports polling has revealed that only 38% believe the best days are ahead, with more, 42%, saying they are already gone and done.
“Compare that to a similar survey in 2019, while Donald Trump was president and leading in 2020 polls, when 54% thought America’s best days were still ahead,” explained Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard.
The poll report said, “Optimism about America’s future has declined sharply in the past two years, and nearly half of voters think President Joe Biden has made it worse. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. voters believe that, generally speaking, Biden has made America worse as a nation. Thirty-four percent (34%) say Biden has made the country better and 17% don’t think Biden has made much difference in the nation.”
The survey of 900 U.S. Likely Voters was done Dec. 14-15 and 18, 2022, by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
Bedard reported, “What changed in between was the onset of the coronavirus, the jumpy stock market, and the 2020 and 2022 elections. Rasmussen focused on Biden in the questioning, asking, ‘Generally speaking, has President Joe Biden made America better or worse as a nation? Or has Biden’s presidency not made much difference?'”

He added, “Politics played a part in the answers, though Republicans were far more critical, with 70% answering ‘worse’ versus 57% of Democrats who said ‘better.'”
But Rasmussen said, “Optimism about America’s future has declined sharply in the past two years, and nearly half of voters think President Joe Biden has made it worse.”
Under Trump, “Rasmussen’s headline on its similar poll was, ‘For First Time in Years, Most Feel America’s Best Days Lie Ahead,'” Bedard reported.
EDITOR’S NOTE: The “Climate Change Cult.” The “Anti-Racism Cult.” The “Cult of Wokeness.” The “LGBTQ Cult” and its predatory offspring targeting America’s children, the “Transgender Cult.” The “Cult of Abortion.” The “COVID Cult.” The “Cult of Globalism.” “TikTok Cults.” Every month the list grows.
To right-thinking Americans attempting to make sense of a nation seemingly gone mad, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the irrational, deranged – and often demonic – leftwing political and cultural movements currently capturing the minds of millions of Americans are nothing short of full-fledged cults.
Although the high priesthood of all these leftwing religious cults – i.e., university professors, academics and other Marxist ideologues and activists – may be true believers, the people actually wielding REAL POWER do not believe any of it. To them, these leftwing cults conveniently serve to disguise and distract “the rabble” from what the leader class is REALLY up to, which is the pursuit of ever more power, wealth and glory for themselves, and a total transformation of America and the world.
All of this and much more is explored in a powerful, insightful and absolutely unique way in the latest issue of WND’s acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine, titled “HOLY WAR: Defeating the growing cult of leftism and its total war on Christianity.”
