It’s hard to believe that we have a president and, it appears, a federal government, as well as a huge number of American citizens, who think it’s OK that hundreds – no, thousands – no, millions – of people from across the world are crossing our southern border – and getting away with it.
As if that isn’t bad enough, it also appears that our government is complicit in enabling hundreds of thousands of these undocumented people (illegal aliens) to not only cross the border, but to be flown or bussed, on the government dime, to states across the country.
From what is known, this movement of the illegals takes place mostly at night to unreported destinations across the country. The states where they finally end up are not notified, and the feds wash their hands of the activity.
The result is that legal, U.S. taxpayers are stuck with the bill and the problems dealing with these people – think language, housing, health issues, schooling and jobs.
As if states don’t have enough problems on their own without these added ones.
And while I’m at it, don’t get all upset that I’m calling them “illegals.” That is exactly what they are: people who got into our country by illegally crossing our border – whether the Mexican border or the Canadian border. They are illegal entrants into our country, therefore illegal aliens. In fact, that has been the correct term until recently when the politically correct gang decided that it was insulting. The feds changed it to simply “migrants” and are trying to force us to use it.
I don’t – and won’t.
And speaking of all those people who are moving in on loyal, taxpaying Americans, please know this: They come from all over the world. They’re not just from Mexico – they’re from every country across the world. It’s quite shocking.
Donald Trump had the “Remain in Mexico” policy, and it was working. It required aliens to stay in Mexico until their immigration hearings were held. But as soon as Joe Biden was inaugurated, he ended it. That was followed by a massive increase in the arrival of illegals. It’s reported that 78,000 were arrested in January, over 100,000 in February – and more than 1.7 million illegals have been detained at the border since January. The number of unaccompanied children average some 500 per day. Please keep in mind that “children” includes anyone up to the age of 18 – not just toddlers.
Biden quietly reinstituted the Trump program on Oct. 15 after a Supreme Court order. He hasn’t said a word about it.
There’s something else he hasn’t spoken about, and that’s the quantity of illegal drugs that are being dumped in this country.
You don’t hear the details from mainstream media, but one man who knows the situation firsthand is Mark Dannels. He’s the sheriff of Cochise County in Arizona, right on Mexican border. He and his officers deal with the immigration and smuggling problems daily.
He recently was interviewed on Fox News and could not have been more blunt. He said the largest crime scene in the country is the southwest border. He lays the blame squarely in the lap of the Biden administration, saying, “They’ve set us up for failure” and that things will “continue to get worse as long as President Joe Biden refuses to take steps to secure the southern border.”
To illustrate the problems law enforcement faces at the border on a daily basis, Dannels gave some drug statistics:
“This fiscal year we’ve had 10,000 pounds fentanyl, 180,000 pounds of meth, 86,000 pounds of cocaine, 5,000 pounds of heroin, and 311,000 pounds of marijuana.
“The war on drugs is back, and until America steps up on this and secures this border, it’s only going to get worse.
The sheriff said that on Oct. 11, Border Patrol agents seized more than 50 pounds of fentanyl at one immigration checkpoint.
Dannels said the Trump program was successful, but now, under Biden, Americans have no idea of what is going on – from the dropping of children at the border, the smuggling of adults and the movement of drugs and weapons into the U.S.
“Comparing this year to last, we are up 325% and 1.4 million encountered on the border.” He said they “get 10,000 getaways a month – people being smuggled – single, male adults that are being smuggled into the country but who get away, into the country every month.”
Dannels says, “It’s all cartel-drive. Profit, greedy individual criminal enterprises running this. It’s very, very sad.”
Unfortunately, it’s our future. Thanks, Joe.
