Trump: Nearly 300,000 illegal aliens purged from Social Security program

President Donald Trump has announced that, working with the Republicans in Congress, his administration has been able to purge nearly 300,000 illegal aliens from the lists of those getting monthly Social Security benefits.

And it’s not a small amount.

As the average benefit for 2026 runs about $2,079, cancelling that number of checks would mean a savings to the program of $623 million a month, or some $7.4 billion over the course of a year.

Reports confirm Trump described such a big win: “Together with the Republicans in Congress, we’ve removed nearly 300,000 illegal aliens from the Social Security roles,” he said.

Further, 100,000 migrants have been removed from Medicare eligibility, he said.

“What we’re really doing is saving Social Security because it was so rife with fraud and the Democrats didn’t care!” he said. “They couldn’t care less. All they care about is Trump. Trump derangement syndrome, they are sick. They are lunatics. We’re dealing with lunatics.”

Trump’s comments came during a speech at The Villages in Florida

Reports confirm Trump’s programs have canceled thousands of Social Security numbers that were issued improperly under the prior policies used by the Joe Biden administration.

Trump’s “Preventing Illegal Aliens from Obtaining Social Security Act Benefits” instructs officials tro update records and block ineligible recipients.
