A report from KHOU television said it happened Wednesday morning at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Dallas.
The attacker was found dead on the roof of a nearby office building, the report said.
U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said details still were being investigated.
“Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities,” Noem said. “The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families.”
