Pelosi threatens arrest for failing to follow her new mask mandate

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who infamously violated masking orders during last year’s pandemic for a hair appointment, and recently has been seen multiple times without a mask, apparently is threatening those at the Capitol with arrest if they fail to follow her own latest mask mandate.

The orders, posted on social media by Congresswoman Kat Cammack, state, “If a visitor or staff member fails to wear a mask after a request is made to do so, the visitor or staff shall be denied entry to the House Office Buildings or House-side of the U.S. Capitol. Any person who fails to either comply or leave the premises after being asked to do so would be subject to an arrest for Unlawful Entry.”

Members of Congress would be reported to House leaders and fined $500.

The fight over masks erupted – again – after Pelosi created new mask rules amid alarmism about an upturn in COVID cases.

The New York Post documented how it’s creating tensions since Republicans deride the mandate as an unscientific power trip.

Cammack said, “In today’s edition of Pelosi’s abuse of power, Capitol Police have been directed to arrest staff and visitors to comply with her mask mandate for vaccinated individuals.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, cited Pelosi’s double standard on the issue, explaining, “Twice today I saw the speaker in a crowded room without a mask, less than 24 hours after imposing the mask mandate.”

Pelosi has attacked McCarthy as a “moron” for his position.

McCarthy explained what bothers Americans is the Pelosi “hypocrisy,” taking a swipe for her “infamous mid-pandemic haircut” that she got while not wearing a mask in a mask mandate state.

“It’s kind of like telling America you can’t go get your hair cut, but you get caught on camera because you do it.”

Politico described the “mounting fury” over Pelosi’s actions.

The publication cited “sources” in explaining Rep. Chip Roy told McCarthy that their party “needs to lead” on the issue.

Officials with the police force later explained that they would ask people who are not wearing masks to leave before trying to arrest them.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Americans are just starting to discover that much of what they thought they knew about the COVID-19 pandemic has been a lie. But the truth is finally emerging, and is explored in-depth in the latest issue of WND’s acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine, titled “ENDING THE PANDEMIC: How vaccine mania and lust for power led to the all-out suppression of proven safe-and-effective COVID treatments.” “ENDING THE PANDEMIC” is available both in Whistleblower’s much-loved print edition and in state-of-the-art digital form.
