With the Tuesday evening deadline for an acceptable peace deal with Iran rapidly approaching, President Donald Trump is calling on the Islamic Republic to release at least eight women who are reportedly set to be executed for acting against the country’s Muslim regime.
Trump on Tuesday shared an X post from 23-year-old UPenn graduate Eyal Yakoby who posted the photos of the women, saying: “The Islamic Republic is preparing to hang eight women. Not a word from the international community or so-called human rights organizations.”
Trump then commented on Truth Social: “To the Iranian leaders, who will soon be in negotiations with my representatives: I would greatly appreciate the release of these women.
“I am sure that they will respect the fact that you did so. Please do them no harm! Would be a great start to our negotiations!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The New York Post indicates an estimated 1,600 people have been sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic in the past year.
The Post reports: “Bita Hemmati is the first woman due to be hanged in relation to the demonstrations that broke out in January across the country and were viciously stamped out by government forces.
“The regime accused her of numerous crimes, including using explosives and weapons, throwing objects such as concrete blocks, participating in protest gatherings, and disrupting national security, according to [an April 14] press release from the opposition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).”
