There was an innocent and unarmed protester killed by police during the Jan. 9, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Several others died of natural causes at that time. And several police officers later committed suicide.
Of course there were broken windows and doors and those famous images of protesters sitting in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office, offenses for which they now are mostly in jail.
All of that, according to disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok, was worse than 9/11, the terror attack on the United States that killed nearly 3,000 Americans, took down the Twin Towers in New York, destroyed part of the Pentagon, disrupted the American economy with hundreds of billions of dollars in shutdown damage, and more.
The images from that day, of jetliners being vaporized as they hit the towers, the huge flames, the innocent victims who chose to leap from the fuel-infused flames and plunge to their deaths hundreds of feet below, are etched into the memories of those who witnessed it.

He was, of course, the FBI agent who had a social media conversation with Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer with whom he’d been carrying on an affair.
She wrote him, referring the President Trump: “[He’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?”
Strzok responded, “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.”
Strzok also apparently was among those in the FBI who conspired with Democrats during that 2016 election to suppress damaging information about the Biden family. And he was part of the FBI’s decision to take made-up claims about Trump to a federal court to pursue spy warrants on members of Trump’s team under the now-debunked “Russiagate” collusion conspiracy theory.
The Daily Wire explained Strzok’s comments came in an interview with MSNBC’s Nichole Wallace.
Wallace attacked FBI director Christopher Wray for failing to spout “one utterance” of connecting the dots between 9/11 and 1/6, adding that day in American history was the “deadliest attack on the U.S. Capitol.”
Said Strzok, “If you look at the scale in terms of threat to democracy — I mean 9/11 was a tragedy, we lost thousands of lives in a horrific way — we still mourn to this day. But when you look at something that is an attack on democracy . . . that could actually bring about a fundamental change to American governance, as we understand it — 9/11 is nothing compared to January 6.”
“Fundamental change,” of course, is what Barack Obama guaranteed he would make in America when he was elected in 2008.
The Daily Wire noted, “Strzok joined a list of political voices — primarily on the left — who believe that a mob of former President Donald Trump supporters storming the United States Capitol has somehow become a more terrorizing event than two planes crashing into the World Trade Center, taking nearly 3,000 innocent lives.
“To this day, New Yorkers can still remember the stench that permeated the air for months from the thousands of dead bodies killed on that dreadful day.”
The report cited a Politifact charge that some 2,000 people were on hand on Jan. 6.
The report at the riot, “Some of them overturned barricades, clashed with police, and stormed the Capitol in an attempt to stop congressional members from certifying the 2020 presidential election results. Officials estimate about 800 people out of the massive crowd breached the Capitol grounds and building, leaving just over 200 people pleading guilty to one or more charges.”
The Daily Wire, however, noted that reports from independent journalists and others reveals that allegedly “a small number of agent provocateurs climbing press risers long before any Trump supporter made it past the Capitol Reflecting Pool, which sits in front of the main lawn just before the main physical building.”
“Witnesses say following the alleged agitators riling up the crowd, only a fraction of the group joined in on the mob mentality.”
The Gateway Pundit noted about Strzok’s claim, “This coming from a guy who opened a counter-intelligence investigation against Trump based on a phony dossier funded by Hillary Clinton.”
