While President Donald Trump continues his efforts to renovate the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, the commander in chief this weekend posted a shirtless, A.I.-generated image of himself and a few of his Cabinet members lounging in the historic water.
“The GOAT of trolls!” said best-selling author Buzz Patterson, the former carrier of America’s nuclear football, with GOAT standing for the Greatest Of All Time.

Besides Trump, obvious Cabinet members featured wading include Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. An unidentified woman sporting sunglasses bears some resemblance to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins.
Trump ordered the accelerated beautification of the pool, with $1.5 million being spent to to fix leaks in the aging granite foundation by applying a new “American flag blue” industrial-grade coating.
He also shared an image of what the pool looked like during the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama, compared to how it will appear during his own term.

Trump earlier criticized the Biden administration for the dilapidated condition of the landmark, vowing it would be fully restored for America’s 250th anniversary on July 4.
“Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and I are working on fixing the absolutely filthy Reflecting Pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument,” Trump said on Truth Social. “This work was supposed to be done by the Biden Administration, but Sleepy Joe doesn’t know what ‘CLEAN’ or proper maintenance is – The President and Secretary do!”
On Friday, the site of the Reflecting Pool was vandalized with large graffiti featuring the numbers “86 47” spray-painted on it.
“The site was secured and covered while cleanup was arranged,” a spokesperson for the U.S. Park Police told the Washington Examiner, with the investigation ongoing.

The Examiner noted: “The number ’86,’ commonly used in the service industry to mean removing an item, has been interpreted by some Republicans as a coded threat against Trump. The controversy comes amid the recent indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, tied to a social media post from last year in which he shared an image of seashells arranged to spell ‘8647,’ which authorities say was viewed as a threatening message toward Trump.”
