In a case that has triggered outrage online, a video reveals a driver, apparently enraged by a boy on a dirt bike, driving up onto the sidewalk and chasing him.

WATCH:

Reports identified the driver as Wendy Clemente, 56, and said she was arrested on various charges for the incident in Cheney, Washington. Followup reports said those counts were dismissed and further counts were not yet filed.

Online commenters expressed their reactions, including, “It’s to a point where parents are gonna start taking matters into their own hands,” and “These people are emboldened by zero consequences.”

And she “needs to go to prison” and “Man, if I throw a real straw in the trash these people would beat me to death but this idiot can chase a kid with a damn car ON the sidewalk and nothing.”

Video reveals an alleged drunk driver making a U-turn to drive onto the sidewalk in pursuit of a child on a dirt bike.

The New York Post said a neighbor recording is heard saying, “This woman is crazy.”

There appears to be some sort of verbal exchange between the child and driver.

“She’s trying to run this … Oh my God … You’re kidding, oh my God,” the person filming is heard yelling.

The Post reported, “Deputies were initially called over reports of a burglary about a mile away from the incident, after a caller, who wasn’t home, said they had seen someone trying to open doors on live security cam footage. When officers arrived at the caller’s home, they found Clemente and the silver Ford Focus. During her arrest, Clemente attempted to kick a patrol deputy, according to a police report from the April 28 incident.”

She explained she took her dogs “for a ride” so that she could look “for other dogs to socialize with.”

She denied knowing anything about driving at a child.
