Fox News’ talk show host Tucker Carlson already had speculated that it was the administration of Joe Biden that was responsible for the explosions that put Russia’s Nord Stream pipelines out of commission.
He reported shortly after the damage was reported to the pipelines, which had been able to deliver Russian natural gas to Europe, that, “The people lecturing you about your SUV may have blown up a natural gas pipeline and created one of the great catastrophes of our time in its effect on the environment.”
He wrote in an online commentary at the time that it was “one of the great environmental catastrophes of our time, is unfolding tonight off the coast of Denmark.”
“As we speak, Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 are pouring millions of cubic meters of natural gas into the Baltic Sea. Pictures from the air … You can only guess at how many marine mammals are being killed right now – countless. But the lasting damage may be to the atmosphere.”
Now Carlson is charging that the Biden administration has confessed to doing the damage.
In a new video commentary he noted who did it is “not really much of a question any more.”
That’s because Tony Blinken, Biden’s secretary of state, “admitted we did it.”
There’s “no mistaking what he meant,” Carlson said.
Blinken, in fact, said, “It’s a tremendous opportunity once and for all to remove the dependence on Russian energy, and thus to take away from Vladimir Putin the weaponization of energy as a means of advancing his imperial designs.”
Blinken said, “That’s very significant and that offers tremendous strategic opportunities for the years to come.”
Carlson said, “That’s the clearest admission we’re ever going to get. … No one could miss it, least of all the Russians. … The Biden administration is responsible either directly or through proxies for the destruction of the … pipeline.”
A commentary at the Gateway Pundit explained “the explosions guarantee Germany and the EU won’t go wobbly with regard to sanctions against Russian energy imports. The damage to pipelines will take months repair, and repairs are unlikely to begin until next summer. Even if Germany were to cry ‘uncle’ as civil unrest intensifies over lack of heat and energy, even if Russia decided to turn the power back on, the conduit for Russian gas to Europe is broken.”
Joe Biden previously had said, on camera, that he might take out those pipelines.
Biden said at the time that, “If Russia invades … there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.”
Asked how, he refused to answer, saying, “I promise you we’ll be able to do it.”
