Kevin Dahlgren has been reporting on homelessness, addiction and crime in Portland, Oregon, for years.
But until recently, he likely had not witnessed two stolen cars get into a fender-bender at a gas station. After all, car thieves need fuel too.
In a video posted on X, Dahlgren thanked the law enforcement officers at the scene and then proceeds to explain what happened at a Chevron station in the Delta Park neighborhood of Portland.
Writes Dahlgren: “Two stolen cars for the price of one. At the infamous Chevron station in Delta Park in North Portland, a bizarre incident unfolded when a person driving a stolen car struck another person who was also in a stolen vehicle while they were getting gas.”
The activist describes the neighborhood as having “the highest concentration of drug use – and possibly criminal activity – in the entire city.”
