One member of the congressional caucus that has become known as the “Seditious Six” for their video undermining President Donald Trump, Elissa Slotkin, is now claiming the video was made because members of America’s military were demanding answers about what to do when confronted with “illegal orders.”
Slotkin, on video, asserts there were “so many people coming to use who are on active duty, recent veterans, family members of service members.”
They all wanted to express “concern” about being sent in uniform to an “American city,” like Los Angeles, Chicago or Memphis,” and being “asked to do illegal things.”

The six, Slotkin plus Mark Kelly, as well as Reps. Chrissy Houlahan, Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander, and Jason Crow, claimed in their video that troops have a responsibility not to follow “illegal” orders, although they were unable to cite a single illegal order from Trump.
“Know that we have your back, because now, more than ever, the American people need you,” they claimed.
Slotkin described how “military personnel” have “expressed anguish.”
Slotkin’s newest claims:
Elissa Slotkin claims Democrats made the ‘illegal orders’ video because a slew of military personnel were coming to them with concerns for months:

She said she’s heard, “I don’t know if this is legal. I don’t know if I’d be held accountable later after this administration. I can’t get a straight answer about whether this is legal or not. What do you think we should do?”
A Gateway Pundit commentary said, “Slotkin is now trying to cover her tracks.”
It continued “Does anyone believe this? It is far more likely, that these Democrats got the idea for this stunt from a never-Trump columnist at The Atlantic. They stupidly ran with it, without considering how dangerous and inappropriate it was and now they have spent weeks trying to defend it. There is no defense for this. They should face serious consequences for doing it.”
Since the original video appeared, WND has reported, the military is investigating Kelly, as he is subject to recall to the ranks, and the FBI is investigating the others.
The despicable video urging @DeptofWar troops to “refuse illegal orders” may seem harmless to civilians — but it carries a different weight inside the military.
