Resurfaced video experienced fresh life on social media Monday as a bizarre technical glitch during a local TV weather forecast sparked showers of laughter.
Meteorologist Jennifer McDermed was broadcasting her forecast at Fox 9 in Minneapolis in May 2022 when suddenly her background screen began electronically cloning her.
“Oooooo, that’s funky,” McDermed declared as she noticed her self-replication on the monitor. “I don’t really know what’s going on!”
“Oh, man!” she continued.

As she walked across the screen, she asked her audience while giggling: “Do you guys want one Jennifer? Or two Jennifers? Or three?”
Another woman off-screen says, “We’re having a technical meltdown.”
A male anchor asks Jennifer: “Can you lead that train off the monitor?”
She cheerfully complied, laughing as she marched a procession of her selves from right to left off the screen.
“I have no idea what that was, but that was brilliant. Yes it was,” she said as she pressed forward with her forecast.
McDermed later told “Inside Edition”: “Because the camera was on me, my background was me. Even though the camera was on me, then it just kept multiplying.”
The video was shared Monday by former President Bill Clinton’s sex-assault accuser Juanita Broaddrick, who noted: “A weather girl having fun when she realizes there is a graphics glitch. Very cool.”
McDermed on Monday responded to Broaddrick, saying: “Hi! That’s me 🙂 I’m a meteorologist fyi. Not a weather girl.”
