WATCH EPIC VIDEO: 1st time since WWII, U.S. submarine torpedo sinks enemy warship

For the first time since World War II, a U.S. naval submarine has sunk an enemy warship with a torpedo, as part of the ongoing military operation in the Middle East.

The ship, said Secretary of War Pete Hegseth Wednesday, “thought it was safe in international waters. Instead it was sunk by a torpedo: quiet death.”

Briefing the press on the attack, Hegseth said it was “the first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War II. Like in that war – back when we were still the War Department – we are fighting to win.”
