WATCH: Erika Kirk says Satan ‘would have loved’ if Charlie Kirk did one thing

As Erika Kirk publicizes her husband Charlie’s best-selling book championing the need for people to have a Sabbath rest, the wife of the slain civil-rights leader says Satan “would have loved” if Charlie had “burned out.”

Appearing on “Outnumbered” Wednesday on the Fox News Channel, Erika Kirk said of Charlie: “He knew this life was not about him and that’s why he spoke so boldly and so passionately challenging people’s ideas. Because he said I have the truth, I know it.

“And he wanted to be able to have the Lord use him, and if he didn’t take a moment to rest, he would have burned out, which the enemy would have loved. He would not have been able to share the message and the Gospel.”

The book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life,” debuted on Tuesday, instantly rocketing to the No. 1 spot in sales.

When asked by Harris Faulkner of Fox News how people can start implementing a day of rest into their lives, Erika Kirk, now the CEO of Turning Point USA, replied: “You don’t want to make it legalistic. So if you’re traveling or something’s happening, it does not have to be on a specific day. Just make sure you carve it in and schedule and prioritize it.

“If there are times where you feel like, ‘Oh I can’t do this,’ start small, meaning after 6 p.m. when I get home my phone is off. Honestly, if you really are worried about someone getting a hold of you, get a house phone. That’s a fun thing!”

God’s Sabbath, according to Scripture is exclusively the seventh day of the week, as the first book of the Bible indicates: “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” (Genesis 2:2-3 KJV)

It is actually the longest commandment of the famous Ten Commandments from God, stating: “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” (Exodus 20:8-11 KJV)

As WorldNetDaily reported in September, just days after Kirk’s assassination in Utah, videos emerged of Charlie declaring that proper observing of the biblical Sabbath was “the most ignored commandment” of the Ten Commandments.

“I speak at hundreds of churches of all different denominations,” Kirk told the Wisdom Pearl, “and I will challenge the Christian church because I believe this is the most ignored commandment of the Decalogue to our own detriment.”

“We do a horrible job of honoring the Sabbath,” he explained. “We do a really bad job of that as American Christians.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbxcG-GKong

And what may come as a surprise to millions of Christians, the Sabbath he observed and promoted is NOT Sunday when many congregate to worship on the first day of the week, but rather the seventh day of the week, when Jews and some Christians cease from their work.

“I believe that honoring the Sabbath is the commandment that allows you to honor the other nine commandments, and that the enemy has gone after the honoring the Sabbath because then it is easier to weaken the other nine,” he said.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump also promoted Kirk’s final book, stating on Truth Social: “As Charlie often said, ‘If I’m to be known for anything, I want to be known for being courageous for my Faith.’

“Charlie cared deeply about God and Country and, in this powerful book, his Wisdom, Courage, and Conviction inspires us all to turn to God for guidance against the Evil in this World, which we too can overcome, SO HELP US GOD.”

Is the news we hear every day actually broadcasting messages from God? The answer is an absolute yes! Find out how!
