What with the inflation from Joe Biden’s policies – gasoline prices are up from about $1.80 per gallon to nearly $3.40 a gallon everywhere in the country – the southern border crisis, Afghanistan, COVID, attacks on people of faith, it seems the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is desperate for good news.
After all, the party holds a majority in the U.S. House by only a handful of votes, and not only is the GOP expected to gain a significant number of seats in next year’s mid-terms, more than a dozen Democrats already have announced their retirements.
So when fuel prices in America recently dipped down slightly – and only very slightly – the DCCC though it would boast.
And it got caught.
“You have to give credit to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee,” wrote a Liberty Daily report. “They stuck to their guns and kept up a Tweet (so far) thanking Joe Biden for lowering gas prices.”
But it continued, noting the dollar-plus increases from Biden’s economics, and the 2-cent decline, which may be temporary.
“The problem is the graphic they shared is so manipulated and the price change is so pitiful, even leftwing propaganda outlet Business Insider noticed their shenanigans.”
That publication, in fact, cited the “misleading chart.”

The reporting said the DCCC made the decline “look more dramatic by stretching the X-axis of the graph out of scale.”
Actually, the correct portrayal would show gas prices over the last few months rising every day in a steady climb, with only a tiny, almost invisible, hook at the top to reflect the 2-cent decline.
But, according to the Liberty Daily, “No matter how bad the Business Insider Report painted the move, Twitter users were much more brutal.”

One commenter explained, “This is clear proof the DCCC is either trying to derail the Biden-Harris regime from the inside or they think the American people are illiterate and unable to do basic math. Surely nobody thought this was actually a good idea that helps the sinking regime, right?”
A commentary at Twitchy pointed out that Biden Chief of Staff Ron Klain “likes” the chart.
Twitchy continued, “The real joke here is that it looks like the DCCC got their idea for their chart, which went up in the afternoon, from Matthew Yglesias, who posted a similar chart this morning showing the steady fall of gas prices since President Biden ‘fixed inflation.'”
