Following the release of a heavily redacted affidavit on which the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago was based, former President Trump on Monday posted a message on his social media platform in which he seemed to be urging bureau agents to protest the investigation.

“When are the great Agents, and others, in the FBI going to say ‘we aren’t going to take it anymore,’ much as they did when James Comey read off a list of all of Crooked Hillary Clinton’s crimes, only to say that no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute,” Trump said Sunday on Truth Social.

“The wonderful people of the FBI went absolutely ‘nuts,’ so Comey had to backtrack and do a FAKE INVESTIGATION in order to keep them at bay,” he continued. “The end result, we won in 2016 (and did MUCH better in 2020!). But now the ‘Left’ has lost their minds!!!”

At about 2 a.m. Monday, he added, “FBI, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The search warrant affidavit states there was “probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found at” Mar-a-Lago, stating that nearly 200 classified and top secret documents had already been retrieved in February.

Trump argues that as commander-in-chief and chief executive officer of the U.S. government he had the unilateral power to declassify the documents and ship them to his home.

The Justice Department said Monday that agents discovered a “limited” number of potentially privileged documents during the Aug. 8 raid, Just the News reported.

The statement came in a court filing in which the DOJ also said some of the materials taken taken in the raid potentially contain material covered by attorney-client privilege.

The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland argued in a column Monday that the affidavit “confirms the Department of Justice used a bait-and-switch tactic to justify the FBI’s unprecedented raid on former President Donald Trump’s home.”

“The unredacted portions of the affidavit further expose the Biden administration’s manipulative and tenuous basis for the search and its reliance on inapplicable federal criminal code provisions to justify the targeting of a political enemy,” she wrote.

Kash Patel – who held high-ranking positions in the Trump administration and was appointed by the former president to be his representative to the National Archives – has charged that the Biden Justice Department and FBI want to keep documents related to the investigation of the debunked Trump-Russia collusion allegations from the public.

Patel said in an interview on Mark Levin’s Fox News show, “Life, Liberty & Levin,” earlier this month that the search warrant was approved by “political gangsters sitting at the top of the FBI and DoJ who have hijacked the law enforcement and intelligence community just like they did in ‘Russiagate’ for political gain.”

In fact, he pointed out, some of the same officials involved in the Russia probe, Operation Crossfire Hurricane, and the false designation of the Hunter Biden laptop as Russia disinformation were behind the Mar-a-Lago raid.

“The president is the sole and universal arbiter and classification authority in the United States of America,” Patel said. “If he says a document is declassified, or a set of them, that is it. There is no written material required. That is a fiction being created by the fake news and the radical left.”
