New York state Attorney General Letitia James is suing former President Trump, his family members and his staff over alleged business fraud, with the aim of permanently barring them from having a position on any board in New York state and from obtaining loans.
The AG accuses Trump of overstating the value of assets for loans from Deutsche Bank.
This was just a matter of time.
In fact, as stated by Charlie Gasparino on the Fox Business Network, this AG ran for office on a single platform of “getting Trump.”
And New York Democrats elected her.
But this is a civil suit, not a criminal suit. Why not a criminal suit? Because there is no victim. None. And there is no criminal fraud, just the AG’s interpretation.
Deutsche Bank was repaid its loan to Trump in full. The loan requests by the Trump organization clearly had a disclaimer on each one stating that appraisals of the values of the assets were the responsibility of the lender for due diligence. There was no criminal fraud.

So if there was no criminal case, then what allows James to file a civil case when New York state was not one of the principles to those loan agreements?
Nothing.
Civil cases are about actions between parties. The parties are Deutsche Bank and the Trump organization. Deutsche Bank is not filing a civil suit. There is no injured party.
This is clearly government overreach. Clearly a political stunt by a Democratic AG just before the November midterm elections who pledged to get Trump.
Otherwise, she would have filed a criminal suit, not a civil suit.
This Democrat AG demonstrates that Democrats have no shame, that the end justifies the means and that their goal is to stop Trump and the America First movement by any means.
It’s one more example of Democrats using the legal system for political purposes. Just as with the two impeachments of Trump, the Mueller “collusion” investigation, illegal FISA warrants to spy on Trump, the Jan. 6 Committee and the refusal of former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr and the FBI to investigate illegal ballot harvesting, drop boxes and unsolicited mailing of ballots during the 2020 election.
Why do they fear Trump so much?
Because he represents average working Americans, not the establishment class of elites.
This civil suit by the New York AG demonstrates that America needs Trump even more now.
