Kamala Harris calls border crisis 'political games'

Kamala Harris, the vice president, appears to think that the border crisis, with “more than 17,000 unaccompanied minors are now in U.S. custody – living jam-packed in Biden cages,” is “political games.”

She was asked on Sunday by a reporter why she hasn’t visited, or apparently even made plans to visit, the southern border.

It was, after all, President Biden who said she was in charge of the issue, which developed as soon as Harris and Biden took office.

Biden had messaged throughout his campaign that illegals would be treated well should they arrive at the U.S. border, and during interviews with illegal aliens, multiple individuals have said they felt like Biden invited them.

But the personnel and facilities intended to secure the border have been completely overwhelmed, to the point that often illegal aliens are simply released from custody without even being told to report to court over their illegal entry.

Former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement director Ken Cuccinelli said on Monday that the message delivered by Biden has prompted hundreds of thousands to come into the U.S. “on trailers, staying in stash houses, with other people they don’t know.

He said in impacts the nation’s COVID-19 defense and is “ridiculous on top of ridiculous.”

See Harris’ comment:

It was the Gateway Pundit that described Harris as getting “testy.”

“Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris as the ‘border czar’ on March 24 and she still hasn’t visited the border or the Northern Triangle in Central America,” the report said.

“More than 17,000 unaccompanied minors are now in US custody – living jam-packed in Biden cages,” the report said. “Kamala Harris says tens of thousands of illegal aliens infected with Covid-19, chicken pox and lice living in cages is ‘progress.'”

She did travel recently to New Hampshire.

In her interview, she was asked about going to the border, and Harris’ response was, “I’m not going to play political games.”

Her statement drew some sarcastic, and anonymous, comments online. One said, “A politician doesn’t want to get involved in politics. Got it.”

Another said, “But it’s her job to play them. She’s a politician.”
